CRC Summer Internship Application Period Open
The application period for the 2017 CRC Summer Internship is now open. The internship is available to college juniors and seniors majoring in agriculture, science, communications or management who have a stated commitment to apply their degree toward a career in or supportive of agriculture.
The eight–week program, based out of CRC offices in Sacramento, will include four separate two–week sessions lead by senior management and focused on:
Ag Communications – work with Manager of Communications Jim Morris to understand and implement contemporary communications tools and strategies. Learn and understand branding of an industry.
Environmental Affairs – work with Manager of Environmental Affairs Paul Buttner to understand environmental stewardship programs and implementation.
Regulatory Affairs – work with Manager of Industry Affairs Roberta Firoved to understand and implement water quality programs and crop protection stewardship.
Advocacy, Association Management – work with President & CEO Tim Johnson to understand and implement state and federal advocacy programs, tenants of association management and leadership. One week will also be spent with Kahn, Soares and Conway at the State Capitol.
The program will be designed to apply the candidate’s area of study across the internship program.
