Magic Rice Flour
By Julie Cader
I came across a recipe for rice flour crepes and thought now would be a good time to put the Magic Bullet to work making fresh rice flour. It turned out to be pretty easy and all I needed was raw rice, water, a Magic Bullet or food processor and a sieve. I used one cup of raw rice, which gave me a little more than 1 cup of rice flour.
Start off by soaking the raw rice in water for an hour. Drain the water and spread out the rice on a clean kitchen towel and let dry for around 10 minutes. You want to work with mildly wet rice so it will grind properly. Place rice in Magic Bullet and grind until you have a super fine rice powder. Add the powder to a fine sieve, working in batches, and sift to get the yummy rice flour.
