Cook time: 25 minutes
Yields: 4 servings
Ingredients
Steak
1 pound tri tip steak
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons sesame oil
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Bowls
1 cup Calrose Rice
4 scallions, sliced and greens reserved
1 tablespoon neutral oil
Instructions
To prep the steak, cut until slices and place in a bowl with the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, sesame oil, and sesame seeds. Cover and refrigerator for two hours.
When ready to make dinner, cook the rice according to the package.
While the rice is cooking, heat the neutral oil in pan over medium. Remove the steak from the marinade and transfer to the pan with oil. Add the scallions and cook until the steak is done and the scallions are tender, 6 to 8 minutes.
Divide the rice into bowls and top with the steak. Finish with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and the reserved scallion greens.
